Day Four - Lennard River and Bell Gorges

despite being in the tropics, the mornings out in the kimberley were a bit brisk! here i'm preparing a bit of petit dej for his majesty

lennard river gorge

we trekked on down to the lennard river gorge just off the gibb river road. there was no access to the water, but after a bit of bushbashing and some rock scrambling, we got down and had the gorge all to ourselves!

fkk, fkk, umbakumba fkk

my apparent ecstasy belies the fact that after a quick dip in these waters we were covered in tiny leeches. they got everywhere - and because we were fkk, i mean everywhere.

gibb river road

this rock formation is know as the queen victoria - can you see her profile?!

g pauses to gaze over the leopold ranges and basin

jasper has his first of many river crossings!

bell gorge

we spent the arvo at bell gorge - a wide shallow river over boulders that fell as a staircase cascade into a massive plunge pool.

and watched the sun setting over the gorge...

Hi you two travellers. I looks that I am the first one who read and watched this 18+ (with parents guidance) storey. Awesome! Can not wait for more.
Love mum
